The Reformed Music Festival is Renewed with a Star-studded Cavalcade

Nationally and internationally renowned performers take turns on Pentecost weekend in and around Kálvin Square in Budapest: more than 60 events await audiences at six venues over three days, and all of them are free of charge. The Reformed Music Festival is set to become one of the biggest free music events in the capital.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the unity of the Hungarian-speaking Reformed Churches in and around Hungary. On May 17, the session of the Common Synod took place, followed by festivities on the next day. Ecumenical representatives from the WCRC and the WCC attended in honor of this celebratory event.

A Celebration of Unity

The 24th-25th of May will be a festival weekend in the Hungarian Reformed Church (HRC). In Budapest we celebrate the reformed unity with the traditional 3-day long music festival, while in Debrecen a full-day reunion will commemorate the fifth anniversary of the HRC’s Constituting Synod in 2009.
